Sue maintains a studio on the shores of Cowichan Bay, Vancouver Island. Working exclusively in watercolours she paints a variety of subjects from misty west-coast scenes, wildlife and landscapes, to art that has a strong First Nations influence. For 30 years Sue has actively worked to promote environmental awareness and wildlife conservation through her art. Her work is represented in Limited Edition Reproductions, Art cards, Posters, Plates, and several books which she has both written and illustrated.

As an international artist Sue has had her work exhibited around the world: Guest Artist in both the B.C. Pavilion and the Canadian Pavilion at the World's Fair- Expo '86- Vancouver, BC.; Guest Artist for the Government of British Columbia in the Canadian Embassy, Tokyo, Japan.; Guest Artist at "Epcot Center" - Walt Disney World, two years in a row. For twelve years she taught watercolours on a cruise ship that toured along the Alaskan coast, and is a requested speaker in many different functions.

Sue Coleman Recently Sue's community presence has been more influential by painting several pieces to raise funds for the Land Conservancy of British Columbia. In 2011 her painting of Sansum Point raised $15,000.00 in three months, helping save this waterfront property from development. Sue also actively supports:Ducks Unlimited, Pacific Salmon Foundation, Western Wilderness society, World Wildlife fund and many other charities and non-profit organizations.

Painting from her waterfront studio visitors will be thrilled to see both the scenery and wildlife that has inspired much of Sue's artwork.

Sue Coleman Studio Hours: open Mon - Friday, 10am til 3pm, weekends by appointment. Please phone or email ahead.
