Peggy Grigor has been a potter since 1977 and a pottery teacher since 1982. She is mainly self taught, however she studied pottery at Algonquin College and has attended numerous workshops from the masters on her travels across Canada. In addition, she served as president, studio head and gallery coordinator at Hill Potters Guild in Richmond Hill Ontario, for over 20 years.

Her work features:
  • wheel-thrown hand-painted porcelain functional pottery that is decorated in soft pastel colors
  • crystalline glazes which appear to have crystal structures that "float" in a smooth reflective surface
  • plant & flower vessels for the home and garden including large hand-built pieces such as water fountains

By uniting art and function, Peggy believes pottery can be enjoyed on many levels. Functional work encourages celebration and enriches the experience of sharing with friends and family. As art, pottery stands alone as dramatic wall pieces, a coffee table conversation piece or a beautiful vase perched in a special place.

Peggy was honoured to have her work selected for the prestigious Sooke Fine Arts show in 2007.

Peggy also offers private and semi-private pottery classes in her fully-equipped studio.
